Description
Istio proxies are responsible for sending data plane traffic from one workload to another. These proxies log the status codes of requests proxied. 4XX response code indicate client side issue such as malformed headers, page not found etc
Remediation
Identify the source and destination workload for request failing and inspect the failed request for client side issues. Inspect the client failing.
